Dr. Evan Zaretsky grew up in Thornhill, Ontario. He studied sciences at York University, and then moved ahead to the University of Western Ontario graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006. Through spending extra summer sessions at the pediatric clinic, he had a pretty good idea of where he belonged within dentistry. When he graduated from Western, he moved to Montreal to complete a 1 year residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. By that point he knew he was meant to be a children’s dentist so he continued to the University of Toronto to study pediatric dentistry. And graduated as Pedodontist with a Master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Evan's primary practice since graduation has always been located here in Durham Region.

He’s an active and outgoing person and is an avid cyclist and swimmer. He also enjoys scuba diving and every type of hockey. Dr. Evan has written a children’s book called Ashley’s Elephant. You can read it when you come to the office! He is married to the real-life Ashley, but they don’t have an elephant. Instead, they do have three beautiful children aged 9, 7, and 2.

Dr. Evan believes in giving back to his community. He’s a frequent participant in the Becel Ride for Heart and Stroke and the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. He has served on the executive council for the local dental society - Durham Ontario Dental Society for the last 7 years serving in various positions Secretary, President and Immediate Past President.
